Welcome to the Learning Carousel Co. Booking FAQ page! Whether you're new here or returning for another session, this is where you’ll find quick answers to our most common questions about scheduling, payments, session types, and more. Our goal is to make your booking experience smooth, clear, and stress-free—just like our learning sessions!

Getting Started 

I want to get tutoring services now. Why can’t I book a session?

We encourage all families to start with a trial session to make sure we’re a great fit. Trial sessions are offered at least twice a week. This gives us time to build intentional groups based on learning needs, rather than rushing the process. Our goal is to create meaningful, effective learning environments that promote growth and connection.

 I want to sign up for summer, but I don’t see any summer sessions. How do I register?

All sessions run under the same pricing plan year-round. Simply choose the plan that works for you—either pay in full or pay weekly—and we’ll place your child in a summer group. We’ll follow up with details on scheduling once registration is complete.

I signed up for a consultation and trial—can we start sooner than summer?

We love your excitement! If you’re ready to begin early, send us an email with your needs. Our staff has limited space during the school year, but we’ll do our best to accommodate you before summer starts.

 Scheduling and Sessions

How are students placed into groups and how are session times scheduled?

Students are placed based on grade, learning needs, and schedule availability. Once you enroll, you’ll fill out a short intake form. From there, we’ll match your child with a small group and notify you of the session time before we begin.

Why is there only one session time—and why is it at a weird hour?

Great question! That time is just a placeholder. After purchase, you’ll receive a short intake form so we can group your child with students at a similar level and match their availability. Final group times will be emailed before sessions begin.

 I don’t see options for reading, math, or ESOL—what am I signing up for?

When you register, you’ll complete a brief form letting us know your scholar’s needs. We’ll assign your child to a group based on subject, learning goals, and skill level.

 

 Payment & Policies 

 

If I pay now, does that mean I’m paying before my child starts?

Yes—when you pay, you are securing your child’s spot. Depending on your payment choice (full or weekly), you may complete payment before the program begins or continue payments during the program. Either way, your child's space is reserved.

 Why can’t I just pay closer to June?

Spots are limited to small groups of 6 students. We recommend securing your child’s seat early so we can begin planning for group placement and scheduling.

 What if I cancel—can I get a refund?

Yes. If you cancel before the summer session starts, you'll receive a full refund. If you cancel after the session begins, we’ll refund the unused full weeks only. The current week's payment is non-refundable once it starts.

 My child has to miss a session—do I get credit?

Unfortunately, no. Group sessions are scheduled in advance to maintain consistency. With advance notice, we can record the session or send a substitute video so your scholar stays on track.

I booked individual tutoring but need to cancel. Can I get a refund?

Yes. One emergency cancellation is allowed with a full refund. After that, cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a $15 fee or loss of the session. Repeated cancellations may result in discontinued services.
